More Information

Education and prevention are very important in relation to asbestos products. Today the government has many guidelines to help companies and their employees get educated about hazards, and safety when handling asbestsos products.

Remember to keep an eye out for possible problems if you still have asbestos products in your home, school, or workplace. If the product seems in good condition, DON'T TOUCH IT! Asbestos products in good repair are relatively safe. If the product however shows signs of wear, cracking, moistness, or other disrepair, DON'T TOUCH IT! By trying to investigate the problem yourself you could release harmful fibers into the air, raising the chance for inhalation. Inhaling these fibers can lead to devastating disease, such as asbestosis, mesothelioma, and lung cancer.

Call a professional to investigate potential problems. They will also be educated on repair and removal if indeed there is a need to do either.
